A drinking tracker that isn't built around drinking less
Search for a drinking-log app and most of them assume the same thing: cut down, quit, take a day off. For people who want that, those are valuable features. But the framing doesn't fit everyone. Some people aren't trying to drink less — they just want to know how they actually drink, and there was almost no app built for them. Nomicho was made for that second person.
To understand, not to measure down
What Nomicho does is describe, not grade. Your calendar shows when you drank what. Thirteen insights surface patterns you hadn't noticed — which drinks went with which moods, the times of day your drinking clusters, how your tastes shift by season, your usual order. The AI recap card mirrors the day's mood in a sentence.
Maybe beer creeps up on Fridays, or you lean to sake only in one season, or your "usual" turns out to be something you'd never have named. Obvious in hindsight, each of them — but seeing it as a shape on a graph turns your drinking into a view you can actually look at.
Three layers
Nomicho has three layers:
- Track — the bar and restaurant staples built in, one tap to log, pure alcohol grams computed automatically. Cans and bottles by barcode, too.
- Predict — your blood alcohol concentration while you drink, on the spot, computed for your own body (how it works).
- Reflect — calendar, stats, an AI recap card, and thirteen insights that surface your own patterns.
The record adds up
Day by day, the log means more the more of it there is. Open the calendar and you can see at a glance when you drank and when you didn't. The AI recap sums up the mood of a day from its record, and the stats line those up by month and season. A notebook you can leaf back through — that's where the name 飲み帳 (nomichō, "drinking notebook") comes from.
What isn't there
There's no liver-rest-day counter, no reduction goal, no daily score. Instead of judging an amount high or low, Nomicho simply makes your own drinking visible — that's where it stands.
Who it's for
It's designed for one person, alone with their own data. No rankings, no competition. Built from scratch in Japan, for the people who gather around a drink — adults of any gender, out for an easy glass.
It's local-first, so every feature works without an account. Records live on your device first; sync is opt-in. You can export everything, or delete it completely, anytime.
